An American Royal Commission

Line Dance work in progress

I’ve been busy lately; spending a lot of time working on a commission piece that’s being donated to an auction for The American Royal’s Hide Party. With this painting, I am pushing my style into a whole new direction that I’d never really thought about. It’s what I’d call an over-the-couch or mantle kind of painting, 44.5″ long by 15″ tall.  I’ve decided to call it “Line Dance,” it has 5 high-fashion cowboy boots lined heel-to-toe. The boots are bright and highly designed.

I will post more photos as soon as it’s finished - I’m going to make a slide show showing my work-in-progress.

My “Lone Star” Commission for Kansa

lone starJoe Miner, a Marketing Representative for Kansa Technology LLC, commissioned a piece of artwork to go up for silent auction at the Texas Press Association Trade Show in Houston, Texas on January 18 and 19. Since this is my first piece of artwork to be shown in Texas, I wanted to pay tribute to the state in my own way. I created “Lone Star,” an Acrylic on Plexiglass painting, sized 14″ x 14″. The red lone star proudly shines with of a blue and white flowing background.
